POLYHEDRA

StudyWeb Award

To find out what is really going on with Polyhedra visit Professor George Hart's pages at:

Note: I test the VRML images only in Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0. If you use anything else, you are on your own.

Note: I want to thank Professor George Hart, Klaus Zerbe, Steve and Phillip at Caligari for all their help.

NOTE: As you can see I have added MPEG files in order to reduce the download times. The MPEG files are much smaller at the cost of considerable quality. One may consider them moving thumbnail sketches. I use ActiveX Movie for the MPEG playback on my machine which seems to fire up fine from Netscape when registered in Windows95 as the default mpeg player.

The following pages are my very amateur efforts at animating some of the fascinating aspects of close-packing polyhedra.
